Weekdays
From Monday to Friday, your days alternate between hands-on activities like planting mangroves, collecting plastic and making eco-bricks.
There’s also time for community awareness sessions in schools and prep work on educational materials, always with the local coordinators on hand.
The rest of the time is for community life, cultural evenings or unwinding with the other volunteers near the sea.

During your stay you'll be based at the centre in Tigman Village, Aborlan, a building put together with simple, natural materials in a tropical Filipino style. The accommodation is a few steps from the sea and hosts everyone on the Palawan programmes, so the setting is international and easy-going.
Rooms are shared, with 4 to 8 people per room, set up with bunk beds, fans and air conditioning. Rooms lock, and there's a safe in the main building for valuables. Towels aren't provided, but you'll find bed linen and mosquito nets for a peaceful night. Bathrooms are shared, with unheated showers, in line with the easygoing village lifestyle.
Wi-Fi is available in the common areas, but it can be patchy or drop in bad weather. We'd recommend picking up an eSIM for a steady connection during your stay. Flight and arrival tips
For an easy start to your trip, we'd recommend booking your flight into Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS) on a Sunday, between 10:00 and 17:00. That's when our free pickup and transfer to the centre in Tigman Village is running.
If you arrive on Saturday, you'll need to book an extra night (small supplement applies).
If you arrive outside those hours, you can pre-book a private transfer (paid) or make your own way. Either way, please send us your flight details as soon as you book so we can plan your arrival properly.
At Puerto Princesa, one of our coordinators will be waiting outside the arrivals terminal, holding a sign you can spot easily. You may need to wait a bit for other participants arriving at the same time, since the transfer is shared.

The drive from the airport to the centre takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and gives you a first taste of the Palawan landscape.

We'd suggest booking your return flight from the afternoon onwards, so you have time to leave the centre and reach the airport without rushing.
